How to get your first users for an AI app

Most AI apps shipped in a weekend stall at zero users — not because nobody needs them, but because the builder never meets the people asking for them. Those people post every day.

1. Search for intent, not mentions

Look for phrases like "anyone know a tool for", "alternative to", "is there an app that", and "I'm tired of" plus your problem keywords on Reddit and X.

2. Reply to help first

Answer the question honestly, then mention you built something for it and disclose you're the maker. Keep it under 60 words.

3. Do 10 a day

Founders commonly recommend sending 10–15 helpful replies a day to people describing their problem. The hard part is finding the posts — that's what First10 automates.
