Pick three subreddits, not thirty
Watching every subreddit spreads you thin. Find the few where your buyers actually ask for help, and show up there consistently.
It's tempting to watch every subreddit that might hold a buyer. You end up skimming hundreds of posts and replying to none.
Find the three that matter
- Search Reddit for the problem in plain words, like "how do I track" or "any tool for".
- Note which subreddits the useful threads come from. Usually it's the same few.
- Pick the three with recent asks, not the biggest member counts.
Then be a regular there
- Read their rules once and follow them.
- Answer questions even when your tool isn't the answer.
- Reply to fresh asks within a day.
People notice a name they've seen help before. That trust is worth more than reach.
First10 watches those subreddits and sends you the posts asking for what you built.
