Ask one question after they try it

When someone from a Reddit thread tries your tool, one short question teaches you more than any analytics dashboard.

1 min read

You replied to a Reddit thread, someone clicked through and tried your tool. Most builders stop there. That person is your best source of feedback this week.

Send one question, not a survey

  • Message them within a day, while it's still fresh.
  • Ask one thing: "What almost stopped you from trying it?"
  • Keep it short enough to answer from a phone.

Use what they tell you

  • If they mention a confusing step, fix that step first.
  • If they mention a missing feature, check whether other threads ask for it too.
  • If they don't answer, that's fine. Don't chase twice.

Five honest answers will show you what your first users actually need.

First10 finds the Reddit threads where people ask for tools like yours, so you have more people to learn from.
